EPAC/EACN Board Meeting at the BAK

Latest news on the anti-corruption networks "European Partners against Corruption” (EPAC) and "European contact-point network against corruption” (EACN). On 20 April 2023, the members of the EPAC/EACN Board and Secretariat met at the Federal Bureau of Anti-Corruption (BAK) in Vienna for a Board Meeting.

Žydrunas Bartkus had resigned from his position as President of EPAC/EACN upon the expiry of his national mandate as Director of the Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Lithuania (STT) at the end of March 2023. The members of the EPAC/EACN Board agreed at the beginning of the meeting to jointly continue the business of the Board until a new President is elected. The EPAC/EACN Secretariat, jointly run by STT and BAK since 2022, will continue to provide support in the usual professional manner and act as a point of contact for the members of the networks.

Later in the meeting, one of the STT Deputy Directors gave an update on the coordination and progress of the EPAC/EACN Anti-Corruption Best Practice Exchange Project under the European Union Anti-Fraud Programme (EUAF), which is implemented by STT on behalf of EPAC/EACN. More information on the Project can be found below.

Another item on the agenda was the preparations for this year's EPAC/EACN Annual Professional Conference and General Assembly. The EPAC/EACN Board Meeting concluded with an activity report from the EPAC/EACN Secretariat.
